Answering machine sets imaginations into motion

I want to tell you the story of something that happened to a co-worker of mine when I lived in Bloomington, Donna. I don’t know where she lives now, but I don’t think she’d mind me telling this tale.
Donna’s husband had been someplace where the Red Cross was soliciting for people to give blood. He’d never done it, so he filled out a card, made an appointment and donated.
The nurse taking his blood told him they’d call him if there were any problems. Of course, he didn’t think anything about it.
